South East Yoga and Wellbeing was created at the end of 2016, after my yoga instructor suggested I try out children's yoga in 2015.
Originally working with children & young people in yoga studios and primary & secondary schools, I settled back into the early childhood space.
Hi, I'm Nic Russell & I have been an educator for over 30 years & a yogi for over 20 years. I have participated in many trainings, including meditation, mindfulness, trauma informed yoga, level 1 yoga training, NLP & children's yoga therapy.
Supporting the early childhood sector is really important to me. I believe that wellbeing should be embedded into the learning environment from day 1! I also believe that happier & healthier educators will create even more magical spaces for themselves & children to shine.
I am the creator of Yoga Play Programs for early childhood where I support educators learn how to use 'The 5 Elements of Yoga' to facilitate holistic yoga programs.
Yoga Play is not just an incursion but instead focuses on empowering educators to learn the skills needed to impact children's wellbeing in a way that is meaningful.
As educators develop these skills, their wellbeing also benefits.
I now offer online yoga courses & programs that will support your early childhood yoga journey even more!

2. An adult focused professional development - Holistic Approaches to Wellbeing is now available online & in person. This PD was created after working alongside many adults who wanted to learn more about how to empower their own wellbeing in simple & actionable ways, that had ongoing impact.
